Demi Lovato: 'I haven't been totally true to myself when it comes to making music'

Songstress Demi Lovato has opened up about her new music and confessed that she wants to create songs now that she truly believes in.

During a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the beauty explained that her next album will be incredibly 'authentic' as she believes that the music she has made recently isn't a true representation of her:

"I had a couple of moments this past year where I haven't been totally true to myself when it comes to making music. I've made music that I love and that I'm proud of, but I haven't been totally authentic to who I am, and before I was kind of wanting radio hits."

Lovato went onto add that she won't be trying to please an audience with the next record she makes and will be writing music for herself instead: "And while it's important that you have them on your album, I wanted to create a body of work that represents who I am as an artist and is less about trying to please other people."
