Adam Lambert talks about new album: 'It's about how life never goes to plan'

'Ghost Town' sensation Adam Lambert stopped by On Air with Ryan earlier today (April 22) and opened up about his forthcoming new studio album, 'The Original High'.

Speaking to Seacrest about the cut, he confessed that it's very different to his previous releases and writing the songs in Stockholm was great for his creativity as there were no distractions:

"It was different because I was away from my social scene and I was in Stockholm, and I didn’t know a lot of people except the people I was working with in the writing process. So it was good, it kind of focused me a bit. It gave me a lot of time on my own to kind of think and kind of look back a bit, and kind of dig and see what I wanted to sing about.”

“It’s a bit bittersweet. It’s a bit melancholy. It’s kind of about life always not being exactly what you think it’s going to be, but trying to kind of get through it and make the most of it and be the best person you can be — but it’s not always easy. Our dreams aren’t always what we think they’re going to be.”
