Iggy Azalea: "I don't support Billboard"

Rapper Iggy Azalea has directly told her fans not to visit the website of American music publication Billboard.

The Australian rapper recently spoke out against the media for publishing stories that reported there was tension between her and ‘Pretty Girls’ collaborator Britney Spears.

Iggy has now spoken to her fans via Twitter to tell them not to vote for her as part of Billboard’s Fan Army Face Off competition.

In response to a fan group telling their fellow Azaleans to “keep voting for @IggyAzalea for @billboard’s 2015 #FanArmyFaceOff”, Azalea replied:

“Don’t bother voting for that one guys, I don’t want my fans helping billboard online get any clicks.”

Another fan then joined the Twitter exchange asking: “But wouldn’t you like to show people you have fans?”

The ‘Fancy’ rapper answered: “I don’t need to win a voting poll to know you guys support me and I don’t support billboard.”

Iggy Azalea has previously posed for the cover of Billboard and performed alongside Britney Spears at the 2015 Billboard Awards where she also took home the prize for Top Rap Song.
