Adele was 'so frightened that no one cared' about her after break

Adele says she was terrified of people losing interest in her when she took time off to have a child.

The singer gave birth to her first baby Angelo in 2012 - a year after the global hit album '21' was unleashed.

Today (October 23) the Brit unveiled her comeback single 'Hello' ahead of the release of her third record '25' on November 20.

Speaking to Z100, Adele said that she was worried of losing her place at the top of the music industry.

She said: "100 percent, I was so frightened that no one cared."

Adele added that she assumed people would think her mysterious 30-second advert aired during the X Factor at the weekend was just music for a furniture company.

The singer's last album '21' meanwhile has since become one of the biggest selling records ever in the UK and the US.

It acted as the follow-up to 2008's '19'.
