Olly Murs has joked that he is interested in appearing on TV dating show Take Me Out.

The UK series, which is hosted by Paddy McGuinness, sees a host of single women judge budding Lotharios who are attempting to impress one of the girls and get a date.

Murs is reported to have joked on stage at Lytham Proms on Sunday (August 5) that he is in talks with the show to get one of his band members on the programme.

However, Murs said that he's first in line to take a crack at the dating show. He said:

"We are in talks with Paddy McGuinness to get him on Take Me Out. Obviously he's got to join the queue - I'm already at the front."

Murs has often admitted that he is somewhat unlucky in love, with the 28-year-old revealing that he was wanting to look to One Direction for some relationship advice when he supported them in North America earlier in the year.
