Adele slams sexualised music videos

Adele has taken aim at singers who use raunchy videos to help sell music.

The industry has been flooded in recent years with overtly sexualised imagery, with acts like Rihanna often coming under fire for some of her videos.

Adele is quoted by The Sun as criticising music stars who ramp up the sexiness, adding that they usually do not look the same in real life. She said:

"I've seen them up close and they don't even look like that."

The 'Someone Like You' star added: "I just stand there and sing. I'm not worried that I'm a 'plus size' and so much bigger than other artists. No matter what you look like the key is to be happy with yourself."

As previously reported, Jessie J recently praised mother-to-be Adele by saying that she will be a "great" mum.
