will.i.am is like a "crazy scientist" when he's working, says collaborator and superstar DJ David Guetta.

Producer Guetta has teamed up with the Black Eyed Peas star, and admires the way he creates songs in the studio.

Speaking to the US Metro, the French star gushed: "He’s a friend. We’ve known each other since I produced 'I Gotta Feeling' and anything that he comes out with is always genius, so I kind of trust him with closed eyes.

He added: "He’s like a bit of a crazy scientist who has difficulty in only doing one thing at a time. We just open the mics up and he doesn’t write anything – it just comes out of him –and it’s impressive to see that. He’s a party guy and that’s my life."

Guetta also revealed his plans for 2013, explaining: "I’ve just repackaged my album 'Nothing But the Beat 2.0' and I’m working on a couple of singles, one of which is with Taped Rai on Just One Last Time'. I want to improve my show visuals. I have a very unique relationship with the crowd because I make special versions [of releases] and I want to take this to the next level.

He continued: "Also, it’s been almost four years non-stop, so for once, I want to enjoy a bit of time not having to deliver – just make music without any pressure, for fun."
