Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber are set to perform at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards next month.

Billboard announced today (April 3) that the two stars, alongside 'Locked Out Of Heaven' hitmaker Bruno Mars and R&B singer Miguel will take to the stage in Las Vegas on May 19.

All four artists join previously announced performer Prince, who will also receive the icon award at the show, to air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Swift, Bieber, Mars and Miguel are also up for the new fan-voted Milestone Award, which The Band Perry and Pitbull are also nominated for.

Finalists for the awards are chosen based on a number of factors, including album and single sales, touring, and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vevo and Spotify.

As it stands, nominations for other categories are yet to be announced.
