Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding: 'I'm the only member who hasn't had a shot at a solo career'

Blonde beauty Sarah Harding has revealed that her desire to go solo was born from the fact that she's the only Girls Aloud member who hasn't yet "had a shot" at singing independently of the other stars.

The hitmaker recently unveiled her plans to release a debut solo album and confessed that she's been working on her own original material for the past three years:

"Before the farewell tour I started putting things into place to make sure I'd be kept busy after we finished. I'm the only Girls Aloud member who hasn't had a real shot at going solo so I want to give that a try. I've been recording and writing material for three years now."

Harding also opened up to OK! magazine about the group's split, adding that Nadine Coyle found it the hardest: "When any band splits it's scary, it feels like you're going through a break up with someone you love. All of a sudden it's like, 'OK, what do I do now?'"

"I think Nadine took it the worst. We had no idea what she was feeling, that's the difference with her."
