Cheryl Cole teases new music

Cheryl Cole has teased fans with the suggestion of new music.

The singer's last studio album came in the shape of 2012's 'A Million Lights', which was her third solo effort.

The 'Call My Name' star has been largely absent from music since the break-up of Girls Aloud earlier this year following a reunion tour.

However, Cole posted on Instagram today (July 5) a photo of a microphone in a recording studio, along with the caption:

"Back with my first true love."

As previously reported, Cole also went on a Twitter rant today against a showbiz journalist who suggested the idea that the singer's 30th birthday celebrations were lacking excitement.

The writer also toyed with the idea that the former X Factor judge would be happier if she wasn't famous.
