Bella Penfold - Pretty

X Factor finalist Bella Penfold is back with a new sound, dropping heavy empowering rap track Pretty.

The dark, bassy track sings of female empowerment and bad b***h energy – Bella makes her presence known as she debuts in the UK rap scene.

A classic 808 bass leads the track through cold, uncompromising lyrics and Bella’s ever-changing rhythms, proving she’s a top new player in the female UK rap arena.

Known for her belting, powerful vocal, Pretty is a new direction for the former X-Factor finalist, who won the nation’s hearts with stunning covers of Blinded by Your Grace and Fell in Love with a Boy.

Pretty is Bella’s first release under her new label Marylebone Records, to which she signed earlier in the year. The track showcases her rhythmic flow and unique sound.

Bella said: “Pretty was all about making me feel good. I wanted to show people that. I hope people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, religion and sexual orientation listen to this track and feel like that baddest b***ch ever. This is a song about making everyone feel pretty.”

With the heaviest bass, Pretty is the perfect track to find the loudest, biggest speakers you can to really make the most of this bassy, head-nodder of a track.

Having reached the finals and toured with The X Factor in 2018, Bella Penfold is no stranger to the limelight.

Now, in 2021, after a year on hold due to the pandemic, Bella is back and raring to go. Moving from native Kent to Manchester during a lockdown respite, Bella put the extra time to good use, focussing on establishing her sound and setting the stage for a career beyond the reality TV show.

In early 2021, Bella dropped Crocodile Tears, a stunning RnB track about heartache, which caught the attention of her new record label Marylebone Records.

With her deal signed, Bella spends every waking hour in the studio building her solo repertoire ready for release later in the year.

Having battled depression and her relationship with food, Bella is a champion of learning to love yourself beyond the filters of social media sites, of finding your own style and of protecting your mental health.
