The store will be open from 10am – 6pm every day, excluding Sundays where it will be open 11am -5pm.

Following on from the projection of the Escape Records famous smile onto some of Wales’ most iconic landmarks last month, the pop-up experience will allow the public to get to know the people behind the smile.

At the pop-up experience people will be able to experience:

• Being a DJ - Where people can book 'open decks' slots to perform and will also showcase the DJs on the Escape Records academy. Advance booking is strongly recommended http://www.escaperecords.co.uk/open-decks

• Arcade machines – We’re bringing in a retro grabber where people can win many prizes including a trip to Amsterdam, Colour Clash Tickets, Feeder tickets and much more

• Photo Opportunities – You’ll be able to grab some photos for the ‘gram with some set ups inspired by our festivals.

In addition to Escape Records flagship events, Move Together, Wales' biggest nightlife operator will be selling streetwear and challenging people to guess the combination to a locked display box containing the ultimate student must-have prize: a personalised Move Together Membership Card.

The Move Together Cards are the hottest tickets in town and will allow the winner to go out clubbing 7 nights a week FOR FREE for the whole academic term at Move Together's events in clubs like Pryzm, Revolution, Walkabout and Peppermint to name a few!

The store is subject to the latest Welsh Government COVID-19 restrictions, with limited store numbers, hand sanitiser made regularly available, masks and social distancing to be observed and equipment regularly cleaned.

Chief Vision Officer, Adam Gore says, “Escape Records is about bringing people together through music and to improve all lives. We want to do something different to make sure we’re not just another event promoter or label. Our pop-up experience is the next step in letting everyone know the people behind the smile and the team is looking forward to meeting everyone.”

Escape Records officially launched on 17th May with the official launch party taking place later this month, subject to all restrictions being lifted. The Escape team has undoubtedly established themselves as the leading event promoters in Wales over recent years, launching and firmly establishing four festivals across the country; Inside Out, Colour Clash, Party at The Park and Escape, each with capacities ranging from 5000 to 20000 people, with a huge new game-changing festival all set to be unveiled soon.

The collective has always strived to surround themselves and work with an array of amazing and creative people that are the heartbeat of what the brand stands for. Escape Records was very much a vision for the future, but after the enforced 2020 fallow year because of the pandemic, it now takes centre stage, as bold new challenges await whilst the team work on some very special new projects to be announced very soon.

Mark Hopkins, Director of Escape Records adds, “Our mantra is trust and love the process. This means we’ve had an incredible ride, with many knocks along the way, but we have learned from them all and improved each time and are now ready to take things to the next level. When this journey began, it was based in music and partying and the wider cultural impact in truth was not at the forefront of our minds.”

Fast forward 15 years and sadly the carefree attitude of youth is starting to escape us, but this space is now filled with a more meaningful purpose. The creation of our academy to support and bring through the next generation of music talent in South Wales, our range of charitable and project work most recently supporting the building of a home in Cambodia. Giving back in all its forms to our community, the industry further afield and making sure we embody that in all that we do.”
