16 April 2024 – Music licensing company PPL has announced the signing of Ice Spice for the collection of international neighbouring rights royalties. She joins a host of artists who signed with PPL recently for international collections including Lewis Capaldi, Libianca and Central Cee.

Ice Spice is a true star of a multiplatform digital age, building a huge following across multiple social and digital platforms and recording tracks with some of her biggest idols early in her career. The New York City native exploded onto the Billboard charts in 2023 and closed the year with the most ‘Hot 100’ top-five singles.

She has featured on some of the biggest tunes of the past year including ‘Barbie World’ with Aqua & Nicki Minaj, ‘Boy’s A Liar, Pt.2’ with PinkPantheress, and a remix of Taylor Swift’s ‘Karma’. In 2023, Ice Spice was nominated for multiple industry awards and won prestigious accolades including BET’s Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist, Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Power Player Rookie of the Year, and BMI’s R&B/Hip-Hop Impact Award. This month, she was honoured at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards with the Hitmaker gong.

Headquartered in London, PPL licenses the use of recorded music in the UK and collects neighbouring rights royalties on behalf of performers and recording rightsholders worldwide.
