Synth-pop-inspired musical artist Ámaris Wen is launching her new 10-track record, “Love and Oceans” on Friday, June 16th. The electronic-inspired album explores themes related to women empowerment, toxic relationships, and mental health struggles. Ámaris strives to provide listeners with an escape route through her music. The tracks within the new album “Love and Oceans” soothe the mind after a breakup, inspiring an embrace of new beginnings.

"Although my music isn't always upbeat and light, it soothes listeners with lyrical messages related to embracing new beginnings and opportunities." - Ámaris Wen, Pop-Synth Artist

ALBUM DISCOGRAPHY:

Songs on the album such as ‘Subconscious’ and ‘Missing You’ translate into a whirl of dreamy moonlight overtones. ‘Nostalgia’ immerses you in the feeling of not being able to let go of a relationship you know isn’t good for you.‘Nostalgia’ was inspired by synth-pop, and Ámaris wanted the song to sound slightly ‘retro’ to reflect the feeling of nostalgia throughout the song. ‘Oyster Bed’ acts as a reminder to dream big and move on from what was holding you back. 'Subconscious’ was inspired by the feeling of drifting during a spell of insomnia, a condition Ámaris herself experiences from time to time due to a thyroid condition. ‘Visionary’ was inspired by the feeling of latching onto a relationship that isn’t good for you, and explores the process of letting go of toxicity.

About

Ámaris Wen is a recording artist, music producer, actor, and songwriter. Ámaris grew up in Central Switzerland as the daughter of a teacher and Swiss musician and professor for music, Kurt Baumann, which fostered her connection with music from an early age. Her family is from the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, and England, which is why Ámaris grew up with English, German, and Dutch. After her parents’ divorce, she moved to Zurich where she received her formal training at drama school in Zurich, and later at the Stage & Musical School in Frankfurt, Germany, where she started to listen to electronic music for her dance studies. Ámaris' 2014 dance floor project “Geiko– female electronic dance music,” was her first-ever album released. After returning from Germany to Zurich to work as a playlist manager for major record labels, she later moved to London where she started working on her first more R&B and synthpop-influenced album “Neon Colours,” which was well-received by critics. In 2018, she released “Aquamarine,” a full-length album inspired by the oceans. This was followed by “26,” a brooding and thoughtful album, released in 2019. Listen to her new album, “Love and Oceans,” now available on all streaming platforms!
