The grittiest artists on the Marquee Records roster, indie-rock trailblazers, Louis and the Shakes, storm into autumn heralding a fresh new signing to Marshall Live Agency, and a killer song to boot; ‘TIME HAS COME’ is released on 25 November. With a string of live dates planned, and a live tour and new album for ’23, Louis and the Shakes are making an indelible mark on the indie music stage, proving that these boys seriously mean business.

We saw them belt onto the scene earlier this summer with a defiant two-fingers up to their doubters, in the form of the dynamic ‘TRAILBLZR’. Now, Louis and the Shakes navigate more subtle, sensitive subject matter, as ‘TIME HAS COME’ depicts the biographical experiences of Louis’ mental health issues as he clambered out of the darkness of lockdown, “I wanted to write a song about overcoming demons, facing them head on, staying strong. Writing an empowering song for people out there that deal with mental health,” comments Louis.

Embracing a slightly more upbeat musical direction, ‘TIME HAS COME’, blasts-out thumping drums and bass, with a joyous catchy hook to enhance the powerful melodic vocals, which whip and weave around the expected LATS formula. If ever there was a phoenix-rising moment, this track is it, as we hear a glorious eruption and transformation from those dark pandemic days, into the light of indie/rock blinding brilliance.

As stalwarts on the live and festival circuit, track plays across Radio X, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, plus a string of syncs, including BT Sport, Sky Sport and on-game and TV ad for Oculus Quest VR ‘Unplugged’, – Louis and the Shakes are rapidly snowballing serious public and industry attention on the indie/rock stage. They were quickly snapped up by iconic label, Marquee Records, in early 2022, forming a solid platform for them to build upon their previous success.
For those of you uninitiated in the world of Louis and the Shakes, meet Louis, Will, Manny and Jamie, a x4 piece, who drifted casually together over 5 years ago, through a series of fortuitous events, under the working name of Louis Antoniou Project. After several hugely successful shows, festival slots including IOW, YNOT Great Escape, DottoDot, REWIRED & OnBlackheath, the boys decided it was best to evolve into a band…Louis and The Shakes were born. In 2019, the band released their debut EP ‘Late Night Stereo’, recording their debut album ‘How Badly Do You Want It?’ during lockdown, which they unleashed as independent artists in October ’21. Critical acclaim gushed in, with plays on Radio X (John Kennedy), BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio (Charlie Ashcroft) and BBC Radio (Mickey Bradley), plus video game advertising syncs and TV plays across BT Sport and Sky Sport. Fast-forward to late ’21, and a sell-out headline show at The Water Rats, where the boys were spotted by bosses at Marquee Records, the off-shoot recording imprint of the original iconic Marquee Club London.

Snapped up and signed up in an instant, Louis and the Shakes hot footed from their jaw dropping performance at the IOW Festival ’22, to release their debut track ’TRAILBZR’ on their new label. LATS stand on the precipice of greater things, take hold and enjoy the ride as they unveil ‘TIME HAS COME’.
