BAYONNE shares new live loop video for 'Living Room'! Debut album 'Primitives' out now

via City Slang & new London show announced! Texas musician shows the making behind his intricately crafted electronic pop in new video & announces new London show!

"It's sensational, all dizzy-making, densely layered, europhic electronica" - The Sunday Times
"You'll be hypnotised by its charms" - Loud & Quiet (7/10)
"Bayonne forges energetic and joyously sweet-natured indie-tronica" - MOJO (4*)
"Evo-loop-tionary… At its core lies the beating heart of electronic music" - DJ Mag (7.5/10)
"A never ending spiral of celestial bliss" - London in Stereo
"The electronic anchored sound of Primitives fluidly crosses into familiar areas of reference but resists solidifying into a set mould" - The Line of Best Fit (7.5/10)
"Bayonne stands out from his more well-known contemporaries for a number of reasons. The record is built on twinkling synth loops and even some folktronica elements on the likes of 'Waves' and 'Steps', but its most distinctive aspect is probably the heavy drum sounds that consistently punctuate the record" - Drowned in Sound

Texas musician Bayonne is sharing a one-of-a-kind new live video for his latest single ‘Living Room’. Also, after successful shows in London and Bristol (Simple Things Festival) last month, Bayonne is set to return to the UK with a London show on February 15th next year.

Filmed in his Austin hometown and produced by Bayonne, the intricate new ‘Living Room’ video gives you a glimpse of how the luxurious music of Bayonne comes to be. Set up around an assortment of different musical instruments, he builds upon each component - hand claps, drums, piano, vocals, synth, vibraphone - and loops them live into one striking arrangement that swells until it’s final moment, making a stunning piece of carefully crafted electronic pop.

In the words of Bayonne himself, aka, Roger Sellers: "My goal was to make a video that demonstrates the general recording process, while also maintaining a linear performance. Almost all Bayonne tracks are recorded using an outboard looper and (mostly) acoustic instruments. The process for the video was very challenging in structuring the loops and routing the studio correctly, but I feel the point I wanted to make came across.”

Bayonne's debut, Primitives, is a rich, complex work, the kind with no clear rock parallel. In its winding, maze-like structures are hints of both Steve Reich and Owen Pallett, each instrument working a single melodic pattern over and over and over, as Sellers threads his soft, reedy voice between them. It is available now via City Slang.

Bayonne has previously toured with Two Door Cinema Club, Caribou, Neon Indian, Chairlift, Thundercat & Battles and Peter Bjorn and John and will return to the UK next year.
