The Pink Nostalgia - Flowers - The New SingleOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY The Pink Nostalgia Joseph James (A.K.A The Pink Nostalgia) releases ‘Flowers’, perhaps his most personal and emotionally charged work to date - which you can listen to here. The follow-up to previous single ‘Radio Silence’ - which saw extensive press support as well as a packed out London headliner at the prestigious Troubadour - ‘Flowers’ expands on the last single as a more upbeat and catchy offering; marking The Pink Nostalgia out as one of the most diverse and growing indie pop projects emerging out of the London scene right now. From the off, ‘Flowers’ is a burst of 80’s synths and guitars that draws comparisons of an early 1975 cut with an energy that would make Christine and The Queens blush. It’s clearly one of The Pink Nostalgia’s most liberating tracks yet, from the upbeat rhythm section to the transcendent vocal that binds the song together; but the main highlight comes in the saxophone break and solo that elevates the track to a new level entirely - in short, it’s a dose of summery indie pop that has to be heard. Of the single, Joseph says: “‘Flowers’ to me, represents a new beginning. Not just a new era for my music, but it’s the very start of the EP I’m currently writing. It’s catchy, upbeat and full of guitar licks and a sax solo; the perfect indie summer tune, but the lyrics are mature and some of the most introspective I’ve written so far. It’s about burying your past six feet under, and moving on, onwards and upwards.” The result is an emotionally charged insight into the mind of one of the most sonically and musically interesting artists around right now. The vision has never felt clearer and the quality of production has never been higher, leaving you to wonder as to just how far The Pink Nostalgia can really go. AboutThe Pink Nostalgia is the indie-electronic solo project by Joseph James. His latest tracks 'Kodak' and 'Radio Silence' mark a new era for The Pink Nostalgia, with a new track 'Flowers' released in August 2022. After incredible live support slots with artists like Coach Party, and BBC Introducing coverage, The Pink Nostalgia is aiming high, and isn't slowing down any time soon.
