UK Music CEO Michael Dugher today announced Andy Edwards will be UK Music’s new Director of Research and Analysis.

Andy Edwards has worked across all sides of the music business during a career that spans over 25 years, including record labels and artist management, mixing frontline and strategic roles.

Andy has contributed to UK Music’s Research Working Group since its inception in 2012 and has chaired the Futures Group, which brings together young creators, executives and entrepreneurs from across the industry.

UK Music’s research work includes the highly successful Music By Numbers, which sets out the music industry’s contribution to the economy and the pioneering city region reports.

Andy will lead that research and analysis, and work with UK Music’s Diversity Taskforce to produce our important industry-wide Diversity Report for 2020.

Michael Dugher said: “I’m pleased that Andy Edwards is joining us as our new Director of Research and Analysis.

“His years of experience across the industry and his previous involvement in UK Music, including on our Research Working Group, make him a welcome and invaluable addition to the excellent team at UK Music”.

Andy Edwards said: “Michael Dugher, Tom Kiehl and the UK Music team do an important job in representing our industry to the wider world.

“It has been great to get to know UK Music in various capacities over the years and I’m looking forward to getting more involved in 2020”.

Andy will retain his strong ties to the frontline industry through his continuing artist advisory work, including his work with Grammy award-winning producer mixer and engineer Cameron Craig as a management client.

He will start in his new role at UK Music in January.
