12 APRIL 2024 (TORONTO, ON) – Today, after much anticipation, singer-songwriter and international pop star Johnny Orlando drops latest single “Wait For You” via Universal Music Canada/Republic Records. For the track, Orlando teamed up with multi-platinum producers, Banx & Ranx (Dua Lipa, Preston Pablo, Rêve). Alongside the release of “Wait For You” is the accompanying music video also out today.

“Wait For You” echoes Orlando’s knack for depicting relatable moments through his thoughtful wordplay. Imbued with infectious melody and chords, Orlando croons about a yearning to be present for a loved one. He sings, “I’ll be counting the days/no matter how long it takes/I will wait for you.”

Orlando says, “So excited that ‘Wait For You’ is finally out in the world. I've been holding onto this song for about a year waiting to drop it. It feels like summer is just around the corner, and we made this for you all to blast with your windows down. I hope you enjoy."

The music video features a montage of a solo Orlando performing out the back of a ubiquitous rental U-Haul® truck, with background scenes interchanging. Incorporating all these visuals were significant as they play homage to Orlando’s personal experience moving to a new country. Fans may remember when a young Orlando first relocated from Ontario to California and being too young to rent a car, resorted to renting a U-Haul® truck for his day-to-day activities during the early months. The video makes it broadcast premier on MTV Live, mtvU, MTV’s Biggest Pop, Nick Music and the Paramount Times Square billboards.

“Wait For You” follows the four-part collection of songs, The Ride, a project exploring the complexities of love and heartbreak.
