12 APRIL 2024 (TORONTO, ON) – Jordan Ward is stepping into Hollywood with a new single titled “Player Two” which will be featured on the official movie soundtrack to the 2024 remake of Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead. The song has a rich production filled with all sorts of video game-inspired sounds that complement Ward’s lyrics about looking for a companion to be the player two in his life.

Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead is a modern-day retelling of the classic ‘90s film where a teenage girl becomes head of the household as the babysitter who’s supposed to be watching her and her siblings suddenly passes away. The film stars Simone Joy Jones, Tyra Banks, Nicole Richie and more and is scheduled to released in theatres on April 12.

In addition to “Player Two,” one of Ward’s breakout hits, “FamJam4000,” will also be featured on the movie soundtrack. “FamJam4000” was originally included on Ward’s breakout debut album FORWARD, which was released in March 2023, and became an instant fan favourite. He will also be giving fans a chance to win a pair of movie tickets to watch Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead through a sweepstakes in partnership with the film’s production company.

2024 has already been a huge year for the multi-hyphenate, as he racked up several accolades, including a spot on Billboard’s 15 Hip-Hop & R&B Artists To Watch in 2024 list and an NAACP Image Awards Nomination for Outstanding New Artist. He also continued his sold-out TEURWARD 2023 European tour with a six-city West Coast tour titled WESTWARD this year. Ward also teamed up with Spotify on their Singles platform to cover Bob Marley & The Wailer’s classic song “Waiting in Vain.”
