YouTube today announced the hire of Dan Chalmers as Director of YouTube Music in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Dan will be responsible for running YouTube's Music business in EMEA and will report to the Head of YouTube in EMEA, Cécile Frot-Coutaz.

Commenting on the hire, Cécile Frot-Coutaz, Head of YouTube EMEA, said: "Dan brings with him a wealth of music industry experience and his leadership, relationships and perspective will further strengthen our European leadership team and our commitment to music.”

Dan will be joining YouTube from Warner Music, where he serves as the President ADA, East West, Rhino Records, Warner Music UK. He has over twenty years of music industry experience with deep artistic and business relationships that span the globe.
