5 Seconds of Summer's 'Amnesia EP' shoots up UK iTunes chart

5 Seconds of Summer's new EP has rocketed to the top of the UK iTunes chart.

The Australians have just released their new EP 'Amnesia' and it is performing well in the digital retailer's download chart.

At the time of writing, it is sitting pretty at No.1 on the albums chart, with Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' resting at No.2.

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile performed 'Amnesia' on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing launch show on Sunday (September 7).

The quartet provided the soundtrack as dancers took to the stage in front of them.

The band wrote on Twitter after the show: "Hope ya all loved our performance on @bbcstrictly last night! You can get Amnesia on iTunes now, theres an EP too (:."
