5 Seconds of Summer tease 'very different' and 'more personal' new album5 Seconds of Summer have confirmed that they have "almost finished" their next album. The lads have been busy working on the follow-up to their 2014 self-titled debut. Speaking to Nova 96.9, the band confirmed that most of the work has been completed. They added that fans should expect a "personal" album that is slightly different in sound to their last effort. Ashton Irwin said: "We wrote an album in LA in about three months. It's all recorded. I love it. Luke Hemmings added: "We're very proud of it. It's almost finished - there's a few bits we need to do to it. "Very happy with it - couldn't be more proud. It's definitely more personal than the first album. The first album was all over the place, because we wrote it over such a long period of time."
