Ariana Grande edging towards first UK No.1 album

Ariana Grande is narrowly ahead in the race for this week's UK No.1 album.

The singer's new effort 'Dangerous Woman' is today (May 23) only 100 units ahead of Richard Ashcroft's fellow new entry 'These People'.

If Grande holds on until Friday (May 27), the US star will bag her first No.1 album in the UK.

At No.3 on the midweek update is Beyoncé's 'Lemonade', which drops one place.

Following at No.4 is Drake's 'Views, which falls from the top spot, while Bob Dylan is new in at No.5 with his new covers album 'Fallen Angels'.

Eric Clapton's new album 'Still I Do' debuts at No.6, with a remastered edition of David Bowie's compilation 'Changesonebowie' in at No.11.

Against The Current enter at No.12 with their debut album 'In Our Bones'.

A 20th anniversary edition of Manic Street Preachers' 'Everything Must Go' meanwhile is No.14.
