Courtney Love has revealed that she is in talks with Miley Cyrus over a future collaboration. Speaking to news.com.au, Love, who is touring in Australia for the first time in 15 years this August, said:

"Miley and me, we are just talking about it, we'll see."

Love has previously tweeted support for the star after Cyrus was slammed for smoking a joint at the MTV Music Awards in Amsterdam last year.

She tweeted: "If it wasn't for Miley Cyrus, 2013 would've been a dull dreary year. If you can't agree with that, you're an idiot."

Love also talked about being an older female artist within the music industry.

"I am 50 this week, that’s just reality and it’s fine. As long as you look all right, you can still perform If you get really fat or lose all your hair, you can’t just put on a baseball hat like guys can.

"They will forgive you all the drugs in the world but they will never forgive you getting fat," she joked.

Love was a heroine and buprenorphine addict but now her only vice is smoking. She has also given up cheese and coffee.

She said: "I got a little chunky because I love cheese but I have been on a diet.”

Love also revealed that she is contemplating going back into acting, having garnered an Oscar nomination for her role as a stripper in 'The People Vs Larry Flynt'.

She quipped: "I have to be more proactive. I am friends with all the movie stars but you need the lawyers; to find the right agent, you have to find the lawyer they are affiliated with. It’s complicated."

“I am just signing with an agency now and looking at a TV show and a film, an indie film.”
