Fifth Harmony on feminism: 'Standing together is better than tearing each other down'

'Worth It' hitmakers Fifth Harmony have opened up about their collective stance on feminism and admitted that they actively try to promote female strength and empowerment because it's something they all really believe in.

Speaking to HuffPost Live, songstress Lauren Jauregui explained that she wants to take a stand for women because fighting for equality is incredibly important to her: "Feminism is definitely important just as a concept because by definition – the political, economic and social equality of the sexes – we promote that 100%.

"You know... women being powerful and being strong, and being able to be successful in whatever division they want to be successful in."

The beauty went onto add that women should try to be more supportive of each other, rather than looking at their achievements as a way to compete: "Also, the coming together of women and supporting each other – not breaking each other down – kind of sending out the message that doing this together is going to be so much more efficient than tearing each other down."
