5th Harmony on Zayn leaving: 'It's sad, but happiness and health are more important'

The girls of Fifth Harmony have often spoken out about their love of One Direction and they have now revealed their reactions to hearing the recent news that heartthrob Zayn Malik had quit the band.

During a new interview with HuffPost Live, beauty Lauren Jauregui confessed that the only reaction that is appropriate is to respect his choice and to assume it's what he felt was the right thing to do: "[Our] only opinion is that we respect him and his decision to [quit]."

Songstress Camila Cabello also weighed in on Malik's decision to quit 1D and added:

"Yeah, I mean I think that One Direction was such a, I mean is, such an important part of some people’s lives, and I think it was just a dream for a lot of people. I was a huge One Direction fan, I think we all are, so I think it made people sad, but at the same time happiness and health [are] the most important thing. At the end of the day, he’s a person, and he’s a human being, and he needs to take care of himself.”
