Applique Music presents it's 60th release - 'We Are Not The Same' a single from label boss, Lempo, featuring a powerful vocal from Mancunian vocalist, Alex Barron. Jam-packed with emotion and drive, delivered in an orchestral arrangement. Live keys, a saxophone top-line and a progressive moog baseline with lyrics equally as thought provoking as the cover artwork. This is a commercially accessible record, sitting alongside pop favourites such as Kungs and Coldplay. Recorded at Oscillate Studio, Manchester, Mixed-down at SupaEarth, Cheshire and mastered by Masterworks Audio, London.

Lempo started his music career with a residency at the historic ‘Sankeys’ nightclub in Manchester. He is fresh from having remixed Snoop Dogg and General Levy earlier this year, as well as working with the voice of house music, Roland Clark - Releasing with labels such as CR2 Records and Todd Terry’s In House Records. Lempo has no less than thirteen number one sellers across the download stores along with three Music Week Club Chart Top 20’s. Lempo is currently resident DJ for Data Transmission Radio.  

Lempo explained: "Getting Alex involved on a project was a no-brainer, the kid has bags of talent - 'We Are Not The Same' has been a real labour of love for us both. I wanted the record to resonate and evoke something different for each listener, the tracks initials spell W.A.N.T.S. and everybody wants something... that’s the message.”

  Alex Barron is a singer-songwriter best known as the front-man of Manchester band 'BARRON', who's music combines alt rock, pop and dance to create their uplifting and feel good sound. The Manchester Evening News wrote: “These accomplished Manc songsmiths are very much an endearing sort of musical romance, they are piano based pop balladeers with their eyes firmly fixed on the stadium rock prize… make no mistake, that stadium rock crown will most certainly be theirs!”   

Alex described the project: "Its been great working with Lempo on 'We Are Not The Same' - The guys got vision, and I know he's brought together something really special, its got that big sound, which I'm all about. Let's hope the people make it an anthem."
