Little Mix's new album 'Get Weird' goes platinum in the UK

Little Mix are celebrating after seeing their new album go silver and platinum in the UK.

The group released their third record 'Get Weird' on November 6.

However, the BPI revealed today (November 13) that the album has gone both silver and platinum, meaning that it has sold over 60,000 units.

To become gold, 'Get Weird' will need to break the 100,000 sales mark.

The album has been vying for the UK No.1 slot this week with the late Elvis Presley.

Find out on Pressparty at 6pm UK time today if the girls have managed to bag the No.1.

The BPI also confirmed that the lead single 'Black Magic' has gone platinum (600,000 sales) in the country.

Little Mix meanwhile will promote their new album across the world on tour in 2016.

Among the dates is a series of UK arena shows planned for the spring.
