Maroon 5 confirm brand new album with studio photo

American indie rockers Maroon 5 have confirmed that they're getting stuck into creating a brand new studio album by uploading a studio photo that shows frontman Adam Levine sitting at a mixing desk

Last night (May 1), the 'She Will Loved' hitmakers shared a photograph from the studio, which can be seen above left, and confirmed that they're working on a brand new record together finally:

"Guess what we're working on? #albuM5."

The band's guitarist, James Valentine, told Billboard last year that they were in the very early stages of writing for a new full-length offering but they weren't sure if any of the material they had at the time would make it onto the final tracklisting because they were nowhere near ready to release it:

"It's going to be awhile before the record comes out, so maybe some of the stuff we're doing now will fall by the wayside by the time we actually put it out. But we've got some great stuff started, and we're all very excited."
