McFly's Harry Judd has recalled a disastrous pre-date pampering session.

The drummer and fiancée Izzy Johnston married in December at St. Nicolas church in Hertfordshire.

Judd has denied he "flashes the cash" on romantic dates such as Valentine's Day, telling new! magazine: "No, it's all about the thought. I still remember my first Valentine's Day with Izzy - she cooked me a meal and laid out a heart on the table. I wet shaved for the occasion, but then I broke out in loads of little spots. I was trying to be a traditional gentleman, but it backfired. It was the last wet shave ever."

Bandmate Dougie Poynter jokingly added: "They were heart-shaped spots though!"

Singer-and-guitarist Tom Fletcher married Giovanna Falcone last year where he sang a 14 minute speech over a backing track of some of McFly's greatest hits.

He posted the speech online a day before Judd's wedding pictures were published, and the star has joked the hugely popular video stole the attention away from his big day.

He quipped to the publication: "Yes, he did steal my thunder. I will upload my wedding dance when you do your divorce shoot! No, they were both very special weddings."
