COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE UP&UP AS NEXT SINGLE

NEW RADIO EDIT OF ‘A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS’ CLOSER AVAILABLE NOW

Coldplay have announced that the third single from their acclaimed seventh album, A Head Full Of Dreams, will be the album’s anthemic closer, Up&Up. A brand new radio edit of the track is available from today on download and streaming services. Hear the new radio edit / get the embed code on Spotify, at cldp.ly/Up-And-Up.

The single is the follow-up to Hymn For The Weekend, which became the band’s 17th UK Top 10 hit, following a storming performance at February’s BRIT Awards. That track was preceded by Adventure Of A Lifetime, which remained in the UK Top 20 longer than any other Coldplay single (and hasn’t left the Top 40 since its November 2015 release).

Up&Up features a host of guest appearances, including vocals from Beyoncé and legendary Gimme Shelter singer Merry Clayton, as well as a guitar solo from Noel Gallagher. The song also provided the climactic finale for the band’s sold-out stadium shows across Latin America which kicked off the band’s A Head Full Of Dreams Tour in March / April.

Since its December release, A Head Full Of Dreams has reached Number One on iTunes in more than 90 countries and sold more than 3.5 million copies. It has also cemented  Coldplay’s position as Spotify’s most-streamed band in the world.

The A Head Full Of Dreams tour resumes in Nice on May 24, before taking the band across Europe and the US, including four sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. More than two million tickets have already been sold for the tour. The band will also headline Glastonbury Festival for a record-breaking fourth time in June.
