Harry Styles reckons life was much simpler before he got famous.

The singer was an unknown until he auditioned for the UK X Factor in 2010, where he then was fit into One Direction.

It has been a whirlwind for the group since they left the show, with worldwide success and numerous tours under their belt.

Speaking in a behind the scenes video for Japan mobile company Docomo, Harry Styles reflected:

"A few years ago…life was simple. I actually liked school but just didn’t like homework.”

Liam Payne added that he wasn't very fashionable before he became famous, whilst Zayn Malik commented that he loves his friends.

Styles meanwhile is continuing a court order against paparazzi in relation to photographers loitering and following.
