One Direction lookalikes forced to leave Edinburgh gig after being mobbed

Two One Direction lookalikes were removed from one of the band's recent gigs for their own safety after getting mobbed.

The real group played at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium earlier this week and Richard Dickinson and Liam Fergusson - who play in Harry Styles and Niall Horan in tribute band One and Only Direction - attended.

However, they got mobbed by fans looking to take photos and they were ultimately removed by security guards.

Dickinson told the Mirror: "It was the craziest thing that's ever happened to me in my life. When we got into Murrayfield we were completely surrounded, just photo after photo.

"People were running from the seated areas to the barriers. People were grabbing on to me. It got pretty bad. The next thing I know this big security guard came and got us."

Even when the duo were taken to a safer area, the pair were still hounded. The lookalike added:

"People started banging on the windows and trying the door. They had to pull the blinds. It was mad. We had to be escorted out the stadium. I was glad when it was all over."
