One Direction star Liam Payne has revealed his awe at being booked to perform at Wembley Stadium this weekend.

The band are due to kick off a run of three consecutive shows at the grand London venue tonight (June 6) as part of their Where We Are tour.

Speaking to Capital FM, Payne said that it is the band's fans who have made playing Wembley three times attainable for the band.

He said: "Honestly, I can't believe it. To think that we're playing Wembley three times. It's absolutely incredible I want to say a full massive to the fans for making us and getting us in this position. Seeing how full that stadium is, can't wait to play it."

Support on the dates will come from 5 Seconds of Summer, who are warming up for One Direction on their entire European and upcoming North America tours.
