One Direction members don't think they could go solo

One Direction stars Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have reassured fans that they aren't thinking of going solo.

The boyband are regularly linked with splitting and their five members could enjoy lucrative solo careers if they did go their separate ways.

However, Payne and Tomlinson said at a press conference this week to promote newly announced album 'FOUR' that they would find it hard to do it alone.

Tomlinson said: "Just having each of us, let’s be honest I personally don’t think I’d be able to do it as a solo artist. It’s very intense and hard to comprehend, so it’s good to be able to speak to people who obviously know exactly what you personally are going through."

Payne added: "Yeah and it’s nice to have somebody there every day who’s going through exactly the same stuff you are. It’s beautiful being in this position but it’s also difficult at times. It’s nice to have guys you can turn to."

'FOUR' meanwhile will be released on November 17.
