Harry Styles on One Direction: 'Our morale is great right now'

'Story Of My Life' superstars One Direction are about to go back out on the road, but member Harry Styles took time out and called into KIIS-FM for a chat earlier today.

The heartthrob called into On Air with Ryan this morning (June 4) ahead the boyband's next leg of their On The Road Again tour, which will kick off tomorrow in Cardiff, and opened up about the band's morale and their forthcoming new record.

"I'm very well thank you, how are you? Thanks for having me! Good! (The band's) spirit is great... we're working on the new album right now, which will be our fifth. It's crazy to think about. It's exciting having the opportunity to do any album, so the fact that we're on the fifth one is amazing for us. We're about to start touring again, which we love, so we're great right now. Morale is good."

When asked if the creative process for their next album is different now that Zayn Malik is no longer in the group, Styles added that there's something new about it but they're really enjoying writing this time around:

"I don't think too much, no. It's definitely fun for us writing to see what's different - the creative process... I mean, it's cool - how some of the things came out sounding. A lot of the parts used to get written with Zayn in mind, but the new stuff sounds good so far.. I think - I hope."

He also teased that the new album is likely to be released at the end of this year, adding: "I'm not 100% sure just yet - it'll be towards the end of the year, but I'm sure you'll be one of the first to know."
