One Direction will unleash a female fragrance next year, according to the head of Olivann Beauty.

WWD reports that the boyband will release their first perfume in autumn 2013 as they look to enter the lucrative celebrity scent market.

Dana Kline, president of Olivann Beauty, told the website that the company have been working on the idea for six months.

The product will be released via department stores in countries where the band is touring, before hitting other nations around the globe.

More information on the fragrance such as its name will be released in early 2013.
