Zayn Malik has pledged his support for Shayne Ward on Dancing On Ice.

The former X Factor winner is currently taking part in the ITV reality series and the One Direction man has shown his backing for Ward.

The 'That's My Goal' star was up for the public vote last night (January 20) and Malik encouraged his Twitter followers to pick up the phone and show their support for Ward.

He tweeted: "Please VOTE Shayne and Maria 09020 50 51 04 Mob 6 50 51 04!!"

Ward was ultimately kept in the show, with Oona King becoming the third contestant to leave the ice skating show.

The singer is an outside shot with the bookies to win this year's Dancing On Ice, sitting on odds of 14/1.

William Hill's favourite to win the show is soap actor Matt Lapinskas.
