Police called to One Direction film screening

The Los Angeles Police Department had to be called out to supervise an advanced screening of One Direction’s forthcoming film This Is Us on Saturday morning.

The preview showing of the boy band’s new movie took place at the Grove’s Pacific Theatre where fans began queuing to gain entry as early as 3.45am.

Fans in attendance had obtained tickets to the screening of This Is Us via gofobo.com.

Once it was time for the film to begin and there were still empty seats inside the theatre some fans tried to rush into the venue to gain admittance to the auditorium.

A mother who was present at the scene stated: “They charged and went straight past the ticket takers for the doors of the actual theatre screaming, ‘Let us in! Let us in!'”

She continued: “It took about a half an hour before a police car came with two policemen in it. They started palming kids down and shoving them outside.”

One Direction: This Is Us gets its official release on August 30.
