One Direction in another rip-off row as 'Best Song Ever' is likened to The Who

One Direction's latest single is facing allegations that it takes a little too much influence from a famed Who song.

The boyband released the track 'Best Song Ever' recently and it instantly became a massive hit with the group's fans.

However, some critics have pointed out the intro is a dead ringer for the opening section of The Who's 'Baba O'Riley'.

It continues to attract negative interest from pundits and listeners alike and it appears their inkling seems to have some credence, with the two songs' intros very similar.

It's not the first time One Direction have come under fire for apparently 'copying' other riffs and musical ideas. Their hit track 'What Makes You Beautiful' has long been linked with Grease's 'Summer Nights' whilst previous single 'Live While We're Young' sounds similar to the Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' - something the band agreed with and admitted was "kind of on purpose".
