One Direction star Harry Styles has lavished praise on the British fashion scene.

The singer has been attending this year's London Fashion Week recently and he took time out to speak to reporters about the country's designers.

He said: "I think it's nice to support British designers. Britain as a whole is doing so well at the moment, if that makes sense."

Styles added: "London Fashion Week is always fun because London has a certain charm to it that other places don't really have."

The singer meanwhile was also asked about rumoured love interest and model Cara Delevingne, with Styles quipping:

"She's good at walking."
