Robin Thicke apologises to estranged wife Paula Patton at BET Awards

Robin Thicke took time to apologise to his estranged wife Paula Patton at this weekend's BET Awards.

The singer took to the stage on Sunday (June 29) at the Los Angeles event to perform his new song 'Forever Love'.

However, he dedicated the performance to Patton, who split from the 'Blurred Lines' man earlier this year.

Thicke said: "Good evening, my name is Robin Thicke. I'd like to dedicate this song to my wife, and say, 'I miss you, and I'm sorry.' This is called 'Forever Love'."

At the end of the song, a picture of Thicke and Patton appeared on a screen.

The singer meanwhile is due to release his new album 'Paula' on July 1.
