Sam Smith has admitted that he is self-conscious about his looks and weight.

The Brit told the Observer that seeing Justin Bieber's recent topless Calvin Klein photoshoot made him worry about his looks.

The singer said: "There are moments when I kick myself, looking at Justin Bieber's Calvin Klein advert in f**king Times Square, thinking I'm in the same industry as him.

"I'm forever going to be on a diet."

However, Smith added that whilst he may not be confident about his aesthetics, there is one thing he is sure about.

He said: "'I may not be comfortable with my weight or with the way I look, but I'm really comfortable with my sexuality. That's one thing I have mastered."
