Indie rock outfit The Vaccines have slammed Bajan beauty Rihanna as insincere because of the huge team that work behind-the-scenes to support her.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the band explained that she is more like the face of an extensive production and songwriting team than an actual artist, which bothers them and has caused them not to like her as much:

"Rihanna isn't an artist - she has 15 writers, 15 songwriters and 15 producers all fighting for space on her albums and she's the face of it."

Guitarist Freddie Cowan added: "I have nothing against it, but I don't want to be associated with it."

These comments follow similar accusations made by The Human League's Phil Oakey, who also described the 'Where Have You Been' beauty as a 'corporate figurehead' earlier this month.
