The Vamps show appreciation for fan mail

British pop-rock group The Vamps are finally back in the UK ahead of their forthcoming headlining tour and spent this afternoon opening packages from their supporters around the globe.

Writing on their collective Twitter page earlier today (September 18), the heartthrobs explained that they're so grateful for all of the letters and gifts they received: "Opening fan mail for the first time in a while! So good to see these wonderful presents and letters."

Now that we're in the age of social media, a lot of fan mail is electronic and back in June, Australian hitmakers 5 Seconds Of Summer admitted that the constant attention online is amazing, but they would love some more handwritten notes from their followers:

"I was saying this the other day that we used to get a lot more letters and now people just hand us bits of paper with Twitters on them and I really miss the day of the love letter. It was a better time... more emotion."

The Vamps' headlining tour is due to kick off on September 23 in Sheffield and member Connor Ball, who plays bass in the band, shared a snapshot of his bass guitar tuner on Instagram and accompanied it with the caption: "Preparation for tour: naming my equipment."
