Swizz Beatz lectures at NYUProducer Swizz Beatz lectured students at New York University’s Canton Film Centre last night on writing a successful movie score. The speech, titled ‘Music & Film – From The Script To The Score’ saw Swizz – real name Kasseem Dean – discuss his experience scoring movies like ‘Any Given Sunday’ and ‘Biker Boys’ alongside fellow artist, Eve, amongst others. Last year, Beatz was named producer-in-residence at NYU’s prestigious Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music where he mentors and critiques students. "I feel super-blessed to be able to give them back certain things I learned throughout my life," he said of his role last December.
