Motörhead's Lemmy: Cause of death contradicts past reports

His death certificate was issued by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health. The Englishman, living in West Hollywood, only found out he had cancer two days before his death, and died on Boxing Day.

Lemmy's memorial service was live streamed on January 9 with Slash and Dave Grohl paying tribute at the ceremony.

Since his death other musicians including, David Bowie, Natalie Cole and Glenn Fry have also died.
