Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour halted in UK & Europe after Manchester Arena terror attack

Twenty-two people have died and 59 others, mostly children, have been injured in a suicide attack at Manchester Arena last night (May 22).

As we reported yesterday evening, the inicident happened at 22:35pm during the end of a concert by the US pop star Ariana Grande.

Greater Manchester Police said the lone male attacker, who died in the blast, was carrying an "improvised explosive device," which he then detonated.

It is said to have blown some concert-goers as far as 30 feet. People have reported that they could smell burning, saw nuts and bolt flying across the air and bloodied body parts lying around the venue as others scurried in a panic to get out.

Police have set up an emergency telephone number in response to the attack for worried parents. People have also taken to social media to hunt for missing loved ones. If you are amongst them, please call: 0161 856 9400.

Sixty ambulances attended the incident and those wounded are now being treated at various hospitals around Manchester.

23-year-old actress, turned singer, Ariana Grande, has since tweeted: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."

It has now been confirmed that the star has suspended her Dangerous Woman Tour, with her remaining London shows and dates across Europe being pulled.

Stars of the music industry worldwide have taken to social media to voice their horror and saddness about the news.

Prime Minister, Theresa May, has also now confirmed that it was a terrorist attack, calling it "callous".

It is said to be the deadliest attack to have occurred on UK soil since 52 people were killed in the 7/7 suicide bombings in July of 2005.

Manchester Victoria station has been closed, roads sealed off as the investigation continues, and people are being asked to refer to Manchester Police to provide any information that they can to help.

The Islamic State has declared responsibility for carrying out the deadly attack and senseless slaughter at last night's Ariana Grande concert.
