Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey & James Arthur performing today at Radio 1's Big Weekend

It will be the biggest music festival Hull has ever seen, with over 50,000 people expected at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Burton Constable Hall this weekend.

The event is held once a year and is a music festival run by BBC Radio 1. It is now in its fourteenth year, and was previously known as One Big Weekend. The festival is held each year in a different location within the UK and is the largest free ticketed music event within Europe.

Some of the world's most famous musical acts are set to take to the stage today and tomorrow, including Katy Perry, Kasabian, Lana Del Rey, Kings Of LeonEmeli Sandé, Biffy Clyro, Little Mix, Sean PaulLorde, Stormzy, HAIMJames Arthur, Plan B, Rag'n'Bone ManZara Larsson and Christine & the Queens.

And if you're not able to be there, you can still follow all the action and keep up with Radio 1's Big Weekend, without even having to leave the comfort of your home.

Coverage of the festival will be shown in the UK on BBC Four from 8pm on Sunday, May 28. Highlights will also be broadcast on BBC One at 11:30pm on Monday, May 29. The festival will also be streamed in vision at the Radio 1 site here.
